NAMTA Launches Consumer Website
Huntersville, NC – July 18, 2006 – The National Art Materials Trade Association will launch a new consumer website on August 1, 2006. The site, ArtInfoNet.com, ties in with the NAMTA consumer campaign that encourages consumers to experiment and explore the world of art materials without being intimidated while visiting a traditional art supply store. The site will serve as a clearinghouse for information on the safety and use of creative and fine art materials.
The new website will include art news, safety information, product knowledge, manufacturers hotlines and website links, profiles of artists, shopping tips, project sheets, and much more. Consumers will be able to locate the nearest NAMTA member retailer with the “Find-a-Retailer” feature.
The site is designed to be fun, interactive and easy to navigate while encouraging the consumer to “unleash their inner artist.”
NAMTA is an international organization comprised of 1,100 companies engaged in the art and creative materials industry. Founded in 1950, the association's purpose is to provide its members with forums to exchange information, resources to enhance their effectiveness and opportunities for growth. NAMTA is recognized as the primary source of information on fine art materials, an advocate of the arts and host of the premier trade show for fine art materials.
